Regional Sales and Operations Manager USA

TECO Chemicals AS is a specialised supplier of chemicals, equipment and consultancy services for professional cleaning of ship cargo tanks, serving the maritime sector since 1994. We supply high quality chemicals, IMO approved & tank coating manufacturer approved in line with MARPOL regulations from our stocks and production facilities world-wide. With the IMO 2020 regulations for emissions in the maritime sector, TECO Chemicals AS also supply green tech chemicals for Scrubbers, BWTS and SCR systems. As TECO Chemicals AS is expanding, we are looking for a hungry and proactive reginal sales and operations manager in USA, working out of the TECO Group offices in Miami, Florida.

As our Regional Sales and Operations Manager you will have a challenging, varied sales, business development and marketing position in an international dynamic business. You will be an important part of our sales team, where everyone need to be independent, proactive, efficient, structured and flexible. You will get a responsible position, with focus on sales and growth, across cultures, countries, languages and time zones. You need to be self-running, ambitious, eager to travel and hunt for new clients and develop existing clients mainly in USA. You must have good communication skills, verbally and in writing for an active and close running dialogue with clients, colleagues, suppliers and partners in USA and world-wide. Operational matters related to deliveries is an important part of this position. You are an American citizen with maritime background, experience and network, hungry for success.

Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Sales and Business development – hunting for new business from new and existing clients in USA
  • Close follow up of clients, via email, web inquiries, incoming calls/mails and proactive outgoing activities in close cooperation with our sales team
  • Responsible for operations and deliveries in close contact with clients, agents and relevant local representatives
  • Contribute in marketing activities in webinars, seminars, exhibitions and with a regular update of sales material, Web site, Linked in, in close collaboration with sales team
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree. Advantage to those who have Master degree
  • Maritime and B2B proactive sales, products and services, proven success, minimum 3-5 years experience
  • Commercial and cultural understanding and experience
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written
  • Admin/CRM system knowledge
Personal skills:
  • Commercial awareness and appetite at all times – a ‘hunter’
  • Eager, and proactive, on emails, phone, meetings and travelling
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Independent and self-driven
  • Service minded
  • Analytic and structured
